Sue is a Londoner and whenever the opportunity arises will take her inspiration from the City. Jazz in London, Paris and New Orleans are all destinations Sue has visited and these trips have spawned her new series of ‘Faces and Places Around the World’.

Sue is a member of the French Pastel Society and has worked and exhibited in Paris, Limoges and Bordeaux. She was commissioned by the BBC to produce paintings to commemorate the Radio 2 and 3 Jazz Awards and Quincy Jones who was presented with a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ bought the portrait Sue painted of him for this very special occasion.

Originally Sue studied with James Hockey of the West Surrey College of Art and Design and then the renowned portrait painter Ken Paine. He became a great inspiration to her especially in regard to ‘the body language of the sitter’. Sue has won several Awards in London and Surrey where she lives and undertakes commissions.
