Painter-Stainers' Craft Awards 2026

On March 12th the Painter-Stainers joined 18 other Companies at Mansion House to participate in the Master Certificate Awards Ceremony for the second time.

The Master Certificate Scheme celebrates excellence, encourages career progression and recognises the very highest levels of skill and experience within industry and profession.  Certificates are awarded at Apprentice, Journeyman and Master levels. 

Three worthy Painter-Stainers candidates were chosen by a selection panel – James Cunningham (Journeyman – Sykes & Sons Ltd ), Robson Preece (Journeyman - Sykes & Sons Ltd) and Erin McKnight (Journeyman - Decowell Restoration & Decoration). They joined 65 other award winners in the Egyptian Hall to be formally presented with their certificates by The Lady Mayor. There was a reception afterwards with award winners celebrating with their guests, employers and Masters.
